Craven County Partners In Education (PIE) is a non-profit organization committed to:
- Enhancing the educational experience of teachers and students through classroom grants.
- Focusing on evolving and specific needs of individual classrooms.
- Partnering with businesses, community leaders, and educators for financial support.
Our partners are passionate about creating opportunities for our students and teachers that enable us to offer quality programs.

It’s Easy to Join to PIE
You can join PIE any time throughout the year!
All members of PIE earn one extra point added to the average of reviewing committee members’ scores on their rubric for the PIE Grants, Wey Mini Grants, and the Twin Rivers Artists’ Assn. Grants.

PIE BowlPIE Bowl was held Saturday, October 26, 2013, at the Strike Zone. The winners are: School with the most teams entered and trophy champs – J.T. Barber Elementary (with 6 lanes ). 9:00 am: Best Team Spirit – Havelock Middle School (Bowling for Tatas); Best Team Costume – Bangert Elementary (The Common Cores); Best Team Name – Trent Park Elementary (Super Bowlers). 11:00 am: Best Team Spirit – it’s a tie – James W. Smith Elementary (Hunger Lanes) and Vanceboro Farm Life (Crayon Girls); Best Team Costume – Craven Early College (The Teaching Dead); Best Team Name: another tie! Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary (PIE Dynasty) and J.T. Barber Elementary (Masked PIE-rates). The Best Bowlers were: 1st Place – BSH, 2nd place – Havelock Middle School, and Roger Bell Elementary and Havelock High School tied for third place. Congratulations! Congratulations! You all rocked our day! Thank you to our sponsors and bowlers! We were able to raise $10,000 (net!) and provide our educators and business professionals with a fun-filled morning!
